Title: Is this the oil pressure sensor? mk3 golf gti 8v

It's pissing out oil so I need a new one but is it oil pressure (more likely) or oil temp

I believe that is the pressure sensor.

Where abouts on your engine is this sensor? I'm trying to locate mine :p

Look above your oil filter its right there.  :smiley:
