Shame, I'd buy them in an instant if I could find them.

I came accross these door sills on ebay. I quite like them. They are similar to the R ones.
What do you think.... worth a punt?

I quite like them its just a shame the GTI is in red like a peugeot/SEAT rather than VW silver
-
I really like those! I might get a set! :smug:
-
That's the first ones I've seen that I quite like.
Having said that, if I ever did get round to buying a set I'd probably get the ones like Snoopy has just bought.

I've already got fitted on mine the mk5 upper door sills which protect the plastic. I brought these off evo a few months back, which look like the pictures below.

They're tiddly, definately more form than function. I've seen bigger smeared bogies.
-
I was thinking of fitting them on top of the VW ones i have
-
That'd be good.

These look smart guys. In my search for all things carbon, I have seen cill protectors that are made in carbon. Only problem being they are far more expensive than the ones shown here. Is it worth me looking into it more for you?
-
Anyone see in Volksy Driver that RGM Moldings are making cill protectors now? They are black plastic ones and I assume will be like their rearguard bumper protectors.
Now I know they don't look as nice as the stainless ones, however I reckon the stainless ones will still get scuffed. So at £40 for a 3 door set they are a lot cheaper, therefore almost disposable if they do get damaged.
They don't have them on the web site yet, but if you look in Volksy Driver, there's a picture of a Scirocco with them.

I noticed those in the mag too, they look like they will protect quite a big area of the sill and are good value compared with OEM ones.

^^^ They don't look like they will do much protecting.
-
For protection, I don't think anything will better the RGM Mouldings ones. I just wish I could find a picture of them somewhere.

I've emailed them to ask for more details.

They've just sent me a photo of the RGM ones:

For a moment I thought I saw the retractable disabled step/stair of a double decker bus.
UGLY.

I think the word we're looking for here is PRACTICAL, Asker

Ok, PRACTICALLY UGLY.
It still does not cover the complete sill.
-
You're just smarting from their lack of bling

Mine are not bling. But those things look like overstretched Femidoms. I'd be ashamed to open my entrances if that was the first view.

I got sent the same picture today. I like them as they are far more practical than the shiney ones. I'd be just as carefull climbing in over a shiney cover as I would over a bare cill, so kinda defeats the object really.
I'm going to be ordering a set.
-
Would be no use to me if i catch anywere its the GTI sill trim or the edge of the sill. :embarassed:
heres some more of the ones i posted above.

Do you know if these are available over here snoopy?
-
I noticed when i copied the address for the pictures the title said "-Adidas-Door-Sill-Trim", so i wonder if there the ones off the adidas special edition. If so then they should be available.
-
As long as there's no adidas logo on them i would quite like a set. bet they ain't cheap though!
-

Just been looking at these on ECS, they only do front ones and they show them as being fitted on top of the plastic trim? plus they're very expensive!!!
Nice though.
-
I think there the same as the adidas ones :undecided:

1:10 of the video you can see the adidas door sills look the same as the ones in the photos above.
