Wanting to get one, and these seem really cheap, and of reasonable quality.
What are your thoughts?

Will fail mot and you will get a fine if its checked at roadside

Not too bothered about that part to be honest - run cars in the past with decays and downpipes and just changed them at MOT time :-)
I was referring to the quality and fitting more than anything.

Hi mate,
I don't expect for £99 that its going to be perfect to be honest :-)
Did you notice any difference once you had fitted it?

you can get a sports cat for £100 and it would be legal

Any universal cat will be OK if you are fitting it into a straight section, most car specific ones are big money but thats because they include the downpipe thats welded onto it
I used a universal 200 cell Hoffmann cat from ebay £109, ends are a bit short though (15mm) so I had to weld reducers onto its ends

This one looks better but I dont like using unbranded stuff

Places like powerflow etc sell them over the counter as well, around £100 for a universal 200 cell. you can get 100 cell too but there more for motorsport I wouldnt want to try and get through an MOT with one
