right if you look under the car just behind the front wheel well on both sides there is an oval lump of metal with a hole in it sticking down, that where i put the axle stand, jacking the car up tho i put a piece of wood between the jack and car for damage prevention, and jack the car using the back mount for the front trailing arm.

at the back i jack on the beam that joins the 2 rear wheels and put axle stands on the pivots for the rear beam.

sorry no pics as im actually on hol and not near my car

as long as you jack on something solid not just sheet metal you will be fine

Snap whos wheels are you looking to nick

Dont get under the car without axel stands. They are cheap and could be a life saver if the jack lets go!

Don't use the beam at the rear - it can bend - look under your car at the rear jacking point covers and you will see a thicker bit of chasisis leg/sill with two holes in it. Jack up here one side at a time using a flat piece of wood to spread he load.

sorry didnt make it clear, didnt mean jack both sides at once by using the middle!  :embarassed:

Im being offered good 6 tonne max axle stands for free. Silly question but its no going to be a problem is it since 3 tonne max axles would be the obvious choice but im being offered the 6 tonners for free.

I take it the axle stands also go under the oval lumps of metal mentioned above? If thats the case then where do you jack up the car from if the axle stands go under the oval lumps?
