afternoon all,
Anyone got any actual MPG figures using Tesco's Momentum 99 fuel against the standard 95 juice. Their marketing bumf (http://www.tesco.com/Momentum99/productBenefits.asp (http://www.tesco.com/Momentum99/productBenefits.asp)) suggests some noticeable increases in MPG.
Im averaging about 30MPG at the moment and was wondering if it was worth shelling out the extra ca$h ?
-
The Evo owners rave about it.
When I had the 350Z this is the only juice it ever had after having a fully tank of it. Cant comment on the MPG increase but there certainly is a power ompf.
-
Only ever use 99 octane fuel
I gain about 3mpg, and a bigger grin when stretching my right foot ..
mine is remapped though so it's advised to use 97 or better once mapped.
-
once my S4 was mapped i have only used tesco 99, i cant really tell the difference in power as it was mapped so went alot quicker lol but yes it does help MPG, i was gettin 29 on a long run but now im getting around 31.9 on a long run with a map and 99.
for the extra couple of pence i would only put 99 in anyway. if you work it out over a full tank of fuel your spending a cou[ple of quid extra
on my S4 it has a 62 litre tank. normal fuel in tesco is 1.37.9 and 99 is 1.40.9 so im spending £2.48 extra on a full tank and im getting the good stuff

I work on the principle it's about cost neutral when you offset cost and mpg.
There is certainly an 'audible difference' and 'seat of the pants dynometer' difference under hard acceleration in my pirelli.
-
well just filled up the tank with some tonight. car certainly feels quicker so will post my MPG stats once I have p*ssed through my £70 of fuel....

just a question for you lads.
how much millage can you do on a £10 worth of 99???
i swear my S4 is drinking while parked up lol if i put £10 in i get 40 miles on the clock(in a S4 that means 15 miles around town) damn these 2.7TT
interested to see what the 2.0T can do when it comes to economy
-
All depends how you drive it. Mine is remaped and my average (number 2 reading on the computer) is 31.9 MPG. I do lots of driving around town but also do plenty of motorway stuff so it gets evened out. Around town Ill get between 27-30 with normal driving. Start pressing on and that can drop to 25-27.

45-50 on £10.
Stage 2 Ed30 at around 300bhp.
-
I've averaged 31 over almost three years.

Not sure about £10.00 worth, but I'm getting around 37mpg at the moment (with zero town driving) or about 410 miles from 50 litres
In town it will average 25mpg.

so not as good as i thought mind considering mines a 2.7 Bi-Turbo. im averaging around 22mpg around town and can get 32mpg on a long run. im running approx 320hp 370lb ft
im going to be doing a run on the way up to GTI next weekend so shall see what i can do with even more carefull driving lol
