Title: Turbo pipes

Hi all,

 I'm here for a friend who has abit of a problem, i just read in this forum about not being able to fit a dump valve but in my mates golf there is one...any case the story is he bought a golf (pretty sure the year is 2000) a while back and just lately the turbo went on it he just had a reconditioned one fitted but the person who done it said the dump valve was making problems. Apparently he didnt even know there was one fitted (obviously from reading the other thread i can see why).

Therefor he wants it out, now when we spoke to a garage they said aslong as he has the old pipes then they would have it out for £20, and as the dump valve was already in it there is no pipes, can anyone here let me what one's to get i had a look on ebay but tbh not really sure what one(s) i'm looking for...it's a 1.8 gti.

Any help will be great thanks.

Get a forge 007p recirc valve mate, better than a dump valve and alot better than the standard

thanks buddy, going by a google search....looking about £100, does that sound about right ?

I got mine for £80 2 years ago, so may of gone up in price.

Are you having a remap ? If not I would just get a standard one, pretty sure they was only like £20 ( OR quite a bit cheaper than a forge one) As I highly doubt you'll replace 4 of them whilst you have the car ! Mine didnt sound different either.

i think he's just going to VW themselves now, not sure about the remap i dont think it is
