Title: What exhausts will fit a 1.8t
Post by: chrisj on 07 June 2011, 21:28
I've sold my turbo for a 150 tdi and i want to swap the milltek off my 1.8t for a standard exhaust as the family member i've sold it to doesn't want the milltek. What other mk4 ones will fit it as a straight fit and does anyone has an idea on prices for a new standard system.

From the catback they are identical so your Milltek will fit your new TDI

Whilst you got it on the ramps you just as well fit a decat to the derv too

Yea i know i could fit the milltek, but gonna leave it as it is. so could i fit a tdi exhaust on the turbo then? Chad's gearbox doesn't sound healthy does it

Surely you know an exhaust fitter?  An hour tops on the ramps and swap them over   You got the cars, why waste cash on a new system?

I did text him yesterday asking if he'd heard anything from the garage but didn't get a reply.  Sadly his is the prime example of why I avoided the DSG boxes

My friend has just opened up as you come off the heads of the valley by pant funnily enough, opposite Jack Matthews. Fitted the milltek for 15 quid. Was just looking to make some money back off the milltek that's all. I tried ringing him yesterday too, but it went straight through to voicemail so either no reception or battery is dead i assume

Fit the Milltek   Though how long you planning on keeping this one?

Probably sold his phone to fund the repairs to the gearbox  :lipsrsealed:

Well it's my sixth mk4 and i need some economy so hopefully i will keep. Just spoke to Chad and he said the garage have told him to get prices and get back to them and to see if they can meet halfway.
