Looks good on the outside, shame no interior pictures
-
From those pics it doesn't look like its got the Recaro interior :undecided:
-
Nah its not, but im not too bothered because im going to get heated leather anyway so to be honest I would rather get them seats as it makes it an easy decision to replace them.
Just seems a little under priced, looks like a big house in background they might just be rich and not care

As it says its 2001 model shouldn't it have different wheels and clear side indicators, don't think the car in the picture is the one for sale,
-
when a car , especially golfs look to good to be true, it usually is mate, just beware
-
pics are a bit weird, no true shots of the car, and im sure those alloys werent fitted to 1.8t. id be suspicious
-
Yeah the first thing I thought was strange were the alloys and then the price. Will give it a miss there are plenty that come around! Cheers

I think they were available on early models.

early models got the montreal 1s, the alloys in the pics are usually fitted to the 2.0 gtis
-
+1 houston, also , i know their not the be all and end all, but look at the badges , 2.0's wer fitted majority of time with all silver werent they , i would think a 87k AGU would be worth more than that

Fair point, it could have had the alloys changed however.

Gotta be worth a look! My friend who bought my golf had a silver 5 door with all silver badges and sold his with the same mileage and leathers for £1600. I think its priced realistically to sell. You might even get them down to £1200. Could be a nice car and the wherls were swapped because a previous owner pregerred them to the wretched montreal 1's.....
-
It might just be the owner bought different alloys because the originals got damaged and its driving everyone crazy because it doesnt add up
-
what doesnt add up :undecided: loads of cars dont come with original wheels when some1 sells on
-
i think if your just a tiniest bit wary you should steer clear not like there aint millions of other golfs for sale
-
I would be wary, wrong wheels, wrong side repeaters and locks on both doors would all suggest pre face lift which was in 2000. As the reg isa covered up and no tax in the window makes me think its a trader trying to get away with selling privately. If its close go and have a look to make sure but it I could be wrong but it screams to me run a mile.

yeah was deffo dodgy. same guy had another for sale a few week ago and yet on this ad it says hes owned it for 8 years. Rang him up today and he said he only just bought it as a trade for his a4 and that he has had the rear disks changed and a service which cost 300 quid so he wants 1800 not 1495 for it.
Dont know why he claims he paid 300 for that when its like 150 quids worth of work. Also he claims ALL mk4 golf engines are the same upto 2004. Really dodgy.
Definitely not going for a look
-
go see him then half way through looking round car get some mates jump out of a van with video camaras then tell him ur from rogue traders
