You say this would be the best option to replace a clutch say if it went after getting a remap? Also could someone explain the difference from solid flywheel and a 'non solid' fly wheel? I'v read alot but just do not get it!
Cheers

thanx. bit expensive. it would mean with fitting the car would have cost £2100 duno if i should bother:S

in the kit you posted you still need a release bearing which is £40. for an extra £60 you can have a genuine clutch and flywheel which Id trust more than the kit you posted. knock him down to £1500. for an 03 plate 130 is cheap

yes unless your going for big power later on. my clutch lasted over 70k after a remap so I replaced it with a standard one.
dual mass flywheel is two flywheels held together with springs and designed to absorb any vibratcion cause by the engine/torque. single mass flywheel is a solid disc which cant fail unlike the dual mass flywheel but it makes the engine noiser and passes more vibration through the cabin

ive got someone that could fit it for £100. so total would be £2100 and the bumper needs a bit of a tidy cost of £70. how much would an 03 golf be worth??

I paid £440 for a new sach clutch & flywheel the other week. I am failry sure the 130's on an 03 are going for £2500 upwards depending on mileage & condition ??
