Title: About to buy a Mk4 TDI 150 - LM52 FCZ
Post by: bboy on 06 June 2011, 15:29
Hello All

I am hoping to join the MK4 owners club  and I am looking at buying a late (ish) TDI 150.

I have had a look at one that is sporting 'GolfGTI.co.uk' stickers so a was wondering if anyone has any info on the car - LM52 FCZ.

Any info or buying tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for that.  Will have a good read now.

I was hoping that an ex owner might be on the forum to confirm the history of the car.

The car has forum stickers on and has also been badged differently so I think they were an enthusiast.

Thanks again for the help.

Is there such thing as a buyers guide for a Mk4 TDI ?

I have heard from a friend that the 115 and 130 BHP models are pretty bullet proof but the 150 are a bit fragile.

I am looking at a 150 model so should I be careful ?

the problem with the 150's is the cams can go, which leaves you with a £1000 bill. but the 130's have the same cams

Go for a 130 and have it remapped.
