Title: Intermitent Engine fault.

Having a recurring problem with my gti.  When initially starting and driving the car has a bad case of kangaroo petrol. I have found broken vacuum pipes coming from the intake. I have replaced them and the car was running fine for a couple of days. Now fault is returning, but not as bad. Can anybody help with this problem before I stick in a VW garage and chop off a arm and a leg.

Look at fuel pump and relay as suggested in other thread. Good luck  :D
