Title: mk 2 judder
Post by: siddleg on 05 June 2011, 19:02
hi im new on here but looks a great site

ive recently bought a red mk2 gti 8v and i love it use it every day for work but need a bit of advice please.

as im driving slowly over speed humps at say 15mph it starts to juddering until i accelerate again its had a full service plugs, leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap. ive also cleaned out the throttle housing, ISV and other various breather pipes but it still does it??????????????

not sure if its related either but on tickover its really noisy from near the back of the engine like the manifold is blowing but ive had it checked on the ramp and they said it not blowing but needs the idle adjusting but that made no difference any ideas??????????? cheers

I had this when i had an air leak from the inlet manifold.. worth a look to see if the bolts are tight - you'll need a mirror to do that ;)
