hi all i have searched but cant find what im looking for
i was driving home tonight when i shifted into second gear revs shot up gear stick went all wobbly looked under bonnet the main gear cable has snapped from the ball joint on the gear box the cable is fine!!!
has anyone got the part number for the cable and cost my mate says is really expensive like over £100
and can the ball joint be replaced without having to replace whole cable thanks liam

this was on here not that long ago, the plastic piece that snapped was only a few quid. assuming its the plastic grip thats spring loaded?

let me get this right
from that pic you cannot disconnect that ball socket thing from the plate that mounts to the gearbox so if i get the tt shifter will come with the piece thats broke on mine the cable is intact just that end that broke

Yep the TT part comes with the new plastic part - It is just the plastic part that is broken on yours isn't it?

ive just got in from the garage took the shifter off the box yes its fixed dont unclip so ill go and order one of those tt ones first thing in the morning :grin: thanks for help and hope this post usefull to others as it is confusing
