How long is a piece of string? All depends on how much you know/ can do.. Have a search, I'm sure I've seen someone write the job out word 4 word how to do it. I just changed my 16v gbox to 02a, and I took engine out to split it and do clutch/ seals/ master cylinder etc as I find it easier to remove the lot rather than tit about with hubs etc. Don't even have to take the wheels off. Basically if you've done a clutch/ box/ engine/ something along those lines before its not too hard

Easy enough, In my experience you need the car as high off the ground as poss, or use a pit or ramps.
And someone strong to wriggle it off and catch it

The box seems to jam on the diff flange also which gets you cross for a bit before you work it out

My whole engine and box is out now, although a longer job its easier to pull the whole lot out I agree.
But then you find jobs to do
