Title: Fan relay unit thing

The fan relay unit thing thats bolted under the coolant bottle, it has 2 fuse slots in it but mines only had 1 in it for about a year. Is it supposed to have 2? Its got me thinking as my fan doesnt work so this could be the problem, but I'm sure its worked since after the fuse got taken out (not sure why it was taken out, seems to have gone missing during a service)

anyone know what there for? Cheers

My 16v has one fuse and my mates VR has two thats all i know :huh:

think it might be my thermostat thats nt working now, not sure though. coolant light started flashing then stopped when I turned engine off and on again. no leaks and loads of coolant in the tank

I think the extra fuse is if you have twin fans.

yeah I have twin fans, the second fan is just powered by a belt attached to the first fan though, there not on seperate circuits or anything. more investigation is needed i think

Yes but the extra fuse might / will be due to the extra load.
