Title: Help fitting LED sidelights on Mk5 GT TDI
Post by: Obbzi on 04 June 2011, 15:34
Right,

I finally managed to free my bonnet and get it open (see other thread...) but I could not get my sidelights out to fit my LED ones!

I have done this before on my Mk5 R32 with no problem, but to me there seems to be less room in the engine bay of my diesel than on my R32!!!

My hands surely haven't grown that much in 6 months lol!

I could not get my hands/fingers in any sort of position to pull out the sidelights!

One thing I couldn't remember is do they just pull out or do you have to turn them then pull?

Thanks

ps

if the voltage is too low, the car is going to turn them of thinking nothing is connected, unless you have disabled this feature? thats what happened when i fitted LED ones.

i have halo headlights with a built in LED strip now, works fine

Thanks adam, they do not create any errors as they have resistors in
