Nope checked it all over. Goes into ger perfect when engine is not running! Change clutch cable as well. Got told it might be sticking?

Did you smear some gold grease on the spline that the clutch plate slides on? also is the arm moving enough that your clutch cable is connected to coming out the bell housing? ( thinking wrong cable fitted or something ) try the old cable

No never greased the rod up. But it wasn't that bad! Well there was a little play but it was the same with the old one (hence why I replaced it) in theory it should work... But it ain't

Did you fit the clutch some time ago... could it be sticking because it been left too long without any operation? It might be worth trying to drive the car to see whether it frees its self off..

Yeah I'd say about month an half or two. Had problems starting the car. Could be though, would it be worth putting it in gear then starting the car?
