Title: Pics of mk4s lowered on eibach 30mm please
Post by: Paul81 on 04 June 2011, 10:50
Hey guys.

My car is completely standard at the moment but im looking at getting different wheels and changing the suspension springs.
Can you please post pics if your car is lowered on eibach 30mm springs?
Im interested in all wheel sizes as well, 16s 17s & 18s.

Cheers.

Cheers guys, much appreciated

Some VERY nice examples there.

What profile tyres are you using? Is anyone on 17s?

Yeah i thought they would be, is the ride harsh?

Has anyone tried a slightly thicker tyre at the back to fill the arch a bit more?

Nah it was fine

Get spacers instead

Don't spacers just give it a wider stance?

That's what you're asking for, no?   Fill the arch a bit more?

I take it you dont like the slightly higher rear?

Sounds to me like coilovers would be better for you - choose you own ride height

Rhyso - I mean the gap between the wheel & the arch I.e a 45 profile tyre rather than a 40 profile?

richw911 - Not keen on coilovers mate, from what I've heard they are more expensive to fit & give a harsher ride

I've heard the FK street coilover kit, which is £50 more than the eibach springs, is quite a comfortable ride for a set of cheap coilovers.

Won't really change it much - would have thought the gap would be the same

You can get -50mm springs

Nope as that would put your gearing out.

Depends, any lowering will result in a harsher ride as your shorten travel etc.

Cheers for the advice guys, im gonna go with the eibach's, the gap at the rear isn't that bad.

Much appreciated
