ok disaster has shruck was fitting new wishbones and bushes was on me last one and last bolt.
well was tapping the front wishbone bolt throught when all of a sudden it went right throught  so i think the bolt on the subframe has come off must of been a real weak weld .
so i think a new subframe is needed .
any diagrams on how to change a subframe and where the best place to put me axle frames for safety as its a must.

o right well i didnt know it was a common problem thought i just fcuked up :embarassed:.
will the axle stands be safe on the place you put the death trap jack you get off vw ?

put the axel stands on the chassis rails under the car. big rectangle rail running front to rear just inside the sill
instead of buying a new subframe cant to just get a new captive nut inserted or weld a new one in place

i know where you thats where i put them know just wasnt sure if it was safe enough to get under the car where you said.
dont think there is no way to get in to the subframe to put a new captive nut on.
