hi guys,i know this has probably been covered before but here goes!
ever since i bought my mk4 gti i noticed the petrol cap release switch didn;t pop the cap cover open and i'm not sure how to go about fixing it?i'm not even sure it has the electric popper installed as there is just a clip in there that doesn;t do anything,here's a pic

any of you got an idea of how i can fix it?

Need to take the rear trim off in the boot to gain access
Its possible the solenoid has failed; new on from the dealers is about £12 :smiley:

this happened to me to was told to ask rhyso but he was on hols by the time he came back the bloody thing started working again :grin: :grin:
