havent tried this yet, but am looking to fit a new (free) one off a friend. how do i go about taking it off? brute force pulling or is there a certain motion needed? :undecided:

Hi mate !not to sure , but usually you have a little screw located on the back of the gear knob,(facing your stereo , unscrew that , then twist around. That's how I think most are done, but I will have a look today for you, and give you an update ! Dean lfc

No screws. First grab around the lip of the trim & leather close to the ash tray & there are some clips.2.Gentley pull up holding the edge of the trim & the clips will release.3. When you have worked the clips/trim all the way around the consol pull the leather up over the gear stick so it looks inside out & there is a metal clip holing the leather on to the gear stick.4. You might need to remove this clip BUT FIRST try to pull the gear knob off the stick, i did & it came straight off others have had to remove the metal clip.
If you do a small cable tie will be fine when you re-fit. :smiley:
