Post by: mattmk4 on 01 June 2011, 22:43
Is this a known Mk4 fault that is an easy fix or anything i should be looking for?

Fault is unrelated to my starter problem!

I'd be looking for someone with VAG-Com to scan the fault for you

have a play with the wires under drivers seat, mine gets caught up sometimes and light comes on, reset it with a code reader and see if it comes back on

when i had my mk4 1.4 and airbag light came on there was a wire that was unplugged under the seat it had like a metal  plug on the end wasnt sure it was meant to be plugged into anything untill i compared it to the other side, the light will need to be reset tho after you re connect it
