Yesterday I gave my valver a decent run down the motorway and did around 90 miles or so without a single glitch but when i hit traffic and obviously had to slow down to a crawl in the town id driven to my clutch peddle had acquired a very prominent and annoying creak / squeak each time it was depressed for gear changes.
This continued for approximately 20 minutes before i parked up and left the vehicle. I returned roughly 2 hours later for the noise to have vanished completely which is obviously good but im still curious as to why it had started in the first place. The noise was quite clearly coming from under the bonnet and not inside the car which rules out a dry pivot on the pedal box and as many of you are aware it couldn't be a sticky clutch cable as the 16v's don't have cables fitted.
Could this possibly be a first sign of a weak clutch plate mechanism? :undecided:

Might have been air in the system.

Hmm, what would have caused that to happen all of a sudden and then cure itself after leaving it? Anything i should be looking at or considering at this point?

Am I right In saying the clutch and brakes share the same master cylinder therefore fluid? Do you think a full fluid change and bleed through be worth my while?
