Title: Sunroof help
Post by: Ant on 02 April 2005, 21:49
With the wonderful weather thought I'd try to sort out my sunroof.

It had been gummed up by a previous owner.

After freeing the roof, tried to wind it back, the sunroof lowers and the driver's side moves back slightly, but the passenger side doesn't slide back at all.

Is there anyway I can get to the sunroof mechanism without winding the thing back? Can I remove the headlining (appears to be a molded item but can't workout how to get it out)

Any suggestion please?

Thanks in advance,
Ant.

The headlining can be removed quite easily. If you can get hold of a Haynes manual it is a fairly straightforward job to remove the sunroof and its operating mechanism. I tried to scan the relevant pages from my manual to send to you, but my scanner ain't working.
