Hi guys, I recently bought a carbon rear diffuser and would just like to find out if there's maybe a DIY for removing it out there (yes I did search)...reason I'm asking is that I dont want to break any hidden plastic tabs...

Undo 4 (?) torx screws and then yank it out with a bit of strength. The bumper does wobble and bend in the process and it is a slightly terrifying procedure.

can i ask where you got your carbon rear diffuser from?
also pics when your done please :)
-
Bought it from a local importer, getting it tomorrow, will post pics once fitted

Wrap it yourself mate. I did mine and pics on here somewhere. Cost me £30 but a nightmare job and
I worked on Concorde & in F1 !!! Probably the only one in the UK  Looks great. Tip practice 1st on
front chin lip.
Gloss black would look ace IMO and a bloody sight easier

very nice, and you're right... don't see the point in carbon wrapping?

Well, a guy here in South Africa sourced the product, he gets all kinds of carbon bits for all cars...pretty sure it was from the link below as my box also said "Made in Taiwan"

In your money about £220...
-
I like it but not enough to spend £220 on one
-
I know OSIR USA offers a selection of CF rear diffusers but IIRC they are listed at around $500-600 (roughly £300) before shipping and taxes.

1 thing does... the "real" thing for free

I have had to fettle Wolgang's bottom too often for his own good. I will have to leave it alone for now, though I am sorely tempted.
-
I will post pics to convince you as soon as my car arrives...ETA is 2 weeks...apparently
-
Finally managed to fit the rear diffuser...it looks awesome...well I think so anyways

Quite beautiful IMO.
I want, I need ...... I think I will get .....
-
Looks hot!
-
Wow
The horrible cheap bit of original plastic never bothered me before, until I saw that. And now it does. Me want, me want.......mind you, me want a lot of things......
-
OK maybe not as sweet, but good enough for me and cost all of £30
.. and 2/3 days hard labour
BTW to the individual that said ' I don't see the point of carbon wrapping '. It's cost mate, obviously.
That and the sense of achievement, doing it YOURSELF!

Brilliant job CHB100.

racingfreak - very nice results - does look good and better in the flesh I'm sure.
CHB - I think yours is top banana too  and more satisfying with it being DIY
-
Very nice, think it really sets off the backend especially in white. I think would look very nice on red or black aswell :)
-
Thanks guys, yes I'm very happy with it...
The back is now even further enhanced by a set of these

I think the difference here is that although your CF wrap work is pretty amazing, most of us wouldn't have the necessary time and/or skills to wrap the valance ourselves.
The CF one is a nice easy bolt on that will probably still fetch very good money when sold on again in the future due to its rarity.
They both make a really classy addition to the back end, getting rid of the cheap looking plastic thing look.
