Title: bonnet not opening

seems car is really trying to P*ss me off jusy seem to get one thing fixed and another thing goes wrong

unable to open bonnet think cable has broken any ideas how to get bonnet open?

thought about removing grill badge to access lock is that possible?

I had the exact problem with my old mk2, i didn't remove the grill but i bet that would make it easier.  I managed to get it open by using a flathead screwdriver through the grill and generally screwing around till i got the catch to come undone. Catch needs to be slipped to the left as you stand facing the car. Given that i spent a while on this in retrospect i would take the grill off!
Needed a new cable and stuff which to be honest i got my handy garage man to fit.

at last something is an easy fix cable came off lock mechanism.

I removed grill badge and got access that way

thats it untill something else goes wrong
