Title: Off to buy cleaning stuff later......help!
Post by: dantheman6554 on 31 May 2011, 11:22
Ive always cleaned my car with Auto glym, two bucket method, and that has done for now,  however im attending the Charity RR day at R-tech and feel the car needs a little more than a standard clean, i have around £70 to spend, plus a polisher so this is the list ive made, anyone care to tell me what else i need:

All of the below is autoglym unless stated

Meguiras Lambs wool mitt
 Shampoo conditioner
Engine degreaser
Bumper care
Tar remover (for my badge glue left on)
Ultra deep shine
Deep crystal polish
Clay kit
Cleaning towls
Finishing cloth

I can get all this for £60 as my work have a good relationship with the autoglym man in a van,

Any help would be much appreciated

Dan

You are using 2 polishes there (Ultra Deep Shine and Deep Crystal).  I would use one or the other (assuming you are not considering other manufactures) and top with a wax.

ye both are pure polishes, no sealant? the tar remover, if its autoglym, is very good

get yourself some poorboys black hole mate, its a glaze so adds depth and gloss to your paint. you can do this once you have polished out the car. for a polish i would say use menz 85RD(final finish) and if your doing it by machine then let me know so i can hopefully advise you to get a tip top finish.

its vital that you get some decent microfibre cloths aswel mate not the £1 things from halfords lol
