If i'm not mistaken there is no fuse for the electric windows.

The best thing to do is take the door cards off and check if your getting power to the window motors. If not then it might be a wiring problem

Do they click or make any noise when you operate the windows

Could be broken wiring in the door looms.

Could be jammed regulators.

Fixed mine last week...The plastic runner had broken and was slipping on the wire.

Get the motor and gubbins out and you can tell right away, there will be a notch in the wire, if there is not a plastic clip round it, thats your problem...

Could be a break in the loom in that case.

Both my front drivers window and rear window stopped working today...checked manual...no individual fuse for either side...was gonna post a thread but did a quick search first...did u solve ur problem? Surprised both went at the same time down the same side...is the rear door supplied from the drivers door?

Prob a wiring fault!

My O/S electric windows (front and rear) have never worked since buying my mk3 tdi a month ago so had a look today

The switches had always clicked but no movement, anyway took the door car off and started to remove the mechanism but couldn't as it kind of got stuck removing it - so kind of give up tried to put it back but couldn't!

Anyway, took it round to me mates who's also got a mk3 tdi and he removed the mechanism and glass (it helps when he's a mechanic!)

With that all out we tried the motor again and it worked :), so re-assembled and a bit of lube at the sides and all was good, apart from when the windows goes up it's like something is blocking it, it's a bit sensitive?

Quite happy with the results, still would like the o/s rear sorting but not as important as drivers - it was like the mechanism was stuck and just needed taking to bit and putting back together

Hopefully this is of some help?

Wiring looks ok and checked around the fuse box aswell...the two front doors started working again...could be a loose connection somewhere...rear right is clicking but not moving...will try what you were saying and take out everything and reassemble must be jammed...doesnt really explain why 3 of the 4 would stop.
