Title: SD CARD???

Since purchasing the GTI Pirelli I have not used the SD card function on the stereo. Is it just music I can upload on to the card or can I upload videos on 2 it 2?? If so what size memory card do you guys recommend?

hi !! im sure you can upload pics, movies and music to it ,what size card im uncertain ! but there are many sd cards you can buy ,that are all sized for how much info or data you want to place on the sd card itself ! if that makes any sence lol .do you have an owners manual for the stereo ? if you do that should give you all the info,plus how to upload to the stereo itself . deano lfc

Thanks Deano, will pull out my paperwork and manuals and have a good read. Take it you support Liverpool. I support them 2!!! YNWA :cool:

What stereo do you have? Is it a VW OEM unit?

I'm 99.9% sure the RNS510/RCD510 cannot read videos from the SD card, only music (and in only mp3 and wma formats)

My RNS 510 doesn't read the higher capacity SDHC cards only the old SD cards. So it's limited to 2Gb :-(

Don't really want to mess with the firmware as I'm afraid of bricking it.

Bobo, it ain't difficult to upgrade the firmware.

My version B plays from a 32GB SDHC.

The RNS510 supports only DVDs - one of the many restrictions it has.

yeah the problem is I don't know if it's ver b and all the tricks to show the version number doesn't work :-(
