Hello all what type of bulb is it to replace my blown passenger side sidelight bulb on my 53 plate tdi 130 Golf and how hard are they to change? any tips/advice appreciated

you need a 501, capless 10w bulb. and there a nightmare to fit, expect some skin to be lost off your knuckles!

I found it a lot easier to take the bumper off completely then remove the headlight's when I did mine.

Cheers again for advice lads, managed to change them both yesterday eve, bit fookin fiddly but got there in end, decided to put 2 new ones so hopefully wont need touching again now for a while! Just put normal w5w 501 bulbs in there, did have silly little led ones in fitted by previous owner nut haven't lasted very long so put back to original :wink:

i recently changed my sidelight easiest way is bumper off and lights out as i have big man hands and wont fit in lol

Easier to just get someone with small hands to change them for you surely mine was a bit fiddly but changed both of them within 10 mins cant see me getting the whole bumper etc off in that time :smiley:

true ture . . . you can do it in 5 mins lol ver y very easy job
