Did any of the Mk3 Golfs have opening rear quarter windows at all?
Just realised i'm not sure if any did, but i'm happy to be proved otherwise!
-
Nope I have never seen any but worth remembering the rear windows are bonded in.
-
apparently you can make the open and close but its a mod. think you can buy a kit. have a look around the net
-
It can be done. I've seen it. IMO waste of time and effort.
-
I wouldn't have thought the insurance company would be too happy about it.
-
There was a three dr mk4 with opening quarters in pvw last month I think, owner wouldn't say how he done it though  be a nice touch if you could do it.
-
There was a mk2 that had it couple months back too, he did sayhow he done it. I'l have a look.

Mk2 is different you can get kits to do it but thanks to scene points they are bonkers money.

ha ha! Erm.. Face, bothered!
Just a question that occoured to me about the mk3's, as i know mk3 & 4 Escorts had the option and it was an easy swap over.
-
i can be done but pretty pointless tbh
-
Hofele make the ones for mk2 golfs and I've also seen pop out rears on a mk3 but who they're made by is a different matter. Either way they'll cost a small fortune.
