Title: No getting up to temperature at all!
Post by: thatwillis on 29 May 2011, 22:54
Hiya guys

So the 1.8t was running fine until i cracked the sump! I'm guessing a 4/5 mile drive after hitting a speed bump a bit hard. I only discovered this when i came out to my car after about 5/6 hours of the car standing still, to find about 1/2 L of oil over the road under my car.

After a couple of days i got all the necessary bits and replaced the sump refilled with the same weight oil 5w 40 from TPS. It drives fine but now it wont come up to temperature at all! I know i need to replace them temp sender but before the crack it still got to temperature and then dropped. Any amazing ideas?

Cheers
Willis
