Title: 1.8 mk2 gti engine not idleing ??

hi there just removed engine from a mk2 golf 1.8 gti,engine was running excellent installed into mine,but wont tick over,and i have to put the pedal to the floor to get revs?any help???

think i mite of knocked the dissz cap but only slightly,do you know which way the rotor arm spins as some spin anti clockwise.thanks

shouldnt have affected it, 1,3,4,2 clockwise
