Risk of fire hazard due to electrics in the garage? At risk of damage from things falling off shelves?

Makes no sense to me.
With some companies i also found its cheaper to tell them my car lives on the road overnight rather than on my drive!

I believe it's to do with sight of the vehicle (out of sight in a garage makes it easier to steal/damage etc)

I guess people don't steal car's by the road side??  :undecided:
