Hello all I used to be on here a while ago with a 2006 mk5 GTI but have recently bought the missus a 53 plate TDI pd 130 and have a strange issue that hopefully someone can help me with! Interior Light only seems to come on when passenger door is open and not the Drivers? also the little warning light on the bottom of inside of drivers door also does not work but again passenger side is fine! and finally sometimes when I press the locking to unlock doors it all works fine but occasionally the doors automatically jus re-lock them selves again after about 30 seconds even if the door has already been opened, this worries me as could cause me to end up accidentally locking keys in the car :sick:
so basically 3 problems
1) Interior light only works with passenger door open it also comes on as normal when initially unlocking the car to enter it etc and also the light comes on as normal when turn engine off and pull key from ignition etc
2) Emergency warning light at bottom of door only seems to work on passenger door aswell
3) Doors sometimes re-lock automatically even if a door has been opened since pushing fob button? THANKS IN ADVANCE, MATT

Spoke to VW this morning and the fookers are trying to charge me over £200 for a new module for my drivers door! can anyone shed any light on this as keep reading that they should only be around £80 ! anyone got the part number for 53 plate 3 door drivers door module?

That price is just parts only mate! will have ring around I think :sick:

Looks like its deffo my module :sick: gave the inner drivers door a light tap earlier today with a soft rubber mallet near the lock area and interior lights and puddle light etc came on along with the buzzer to warn lights are on etc, only lasted few mins tho then went off again :embarassed: have rang a couple dealerships and the price of nearly £200 for a replacement module seems to be correct :sick: I even asked the guy to check some of the part numbers from the info threads etc on here but were either wrong or didn't exist on the system :rolleyes: Anyway I cant be bothered messing about with it and stressing etc so dropping it off at local stealership next week to be sorted and just going to hammer about 20 hours overtime this week to pay for it :wink:

Maybe its a different moduleor something with mine being a late 53 plate mk4 ?
