Title: Jolting under acceleration espaecially when cold......
Post by: hennoir on 28 May 2011, 19:26
Hi guys - Having a couple of issues...firstly.

99 (T) 1.8 20V T (AGU)
When the car is cold and you accelerate it judders (Holds back) usuallly at about 2000 revs maybe 4th gear so guess about 40mph.....once warm it does very occasinally still do but but mostly when cold....is it a turbo issue possibly ? or something may need cleaning ?  have already taken of the throttlebody (cable operated) and cleaned with carb cleaner and does run smoother and a bit better but prob still there....

also stupid me ...how do i remove the stereo. its the standard one that was built in, but before i go on a rambo rampage  with a screwdriver how do you remove the wooden trim without knackering it ?????

Thanks

Chris

Might be wrong, but mine was holding back recently and it turned out that the exhaust was blowing. I had it resealed and a new backbox and that solved it. Just something to think about.
