Title: strange one

On the way to work today I stopped off ti get a paper. Now against the norm, as I was coming to a stand still and in a rush, I pulled up the handbrake to stop and switched off the engine. Now literally 2 min later I returned and the engine wouldnt turn over.
It took five minutes of waiting, panicking and trying before it eventually started up as good as ever! What the hell is that all about?!?
