Title: GTI MK3 8V 2.0L (Code 2E) ECU question
Post by: freezaburn on 27 May 2011, 08:06
Anyone know why the CO2 setting on the ECU gets lost when the battery is disconnected? Never had this issue before but the ECU does not seem to retain the CO2 setting. It was always 28 but when I check last it had gone all the way up to 60! No other error codes are being reported by the OBDI... needless to say my petrol guage drops between traffic lights!

If you disconnect the battery for more than 20 minutes it resets to factory mode and will learn new settings (to match the engine) over the next few miles
