Title: VDOOOOO soooooo confused
Post by: delirical on 26 May 2011, 22:33
Right, ive been lazy and still havn't wired up the oil temp and pressure guages as per below:

Basically the MFA doesnt work as the screen is knackered so can i just use one of the existing wires for the oil temp as per below:

If so which one? or do i still need to buy a T-piece?

Here is a pic of the side of the block where i am aware the oil pressure sender fits, but i have a braided oil line to my s.charger elbow so how would the sendor work with this? as mentioned the MFA does not work so again can i just plug the wire for the guage into the point next to the red arrrow? (below)
The yellow arrrow shows where the oil line for the charger is fitted.(you can just about make out the braided line if you look closely

Hope this makes sense, any help would be awesome!!

Good point, but all the T-piece does is mean that you can have the guages and the MFA working as it provides two points for the reading, i may be wrong!?

I may need a sender on the side of the block but then i dont know what to do with the oil line to the charger as this has not been mentioned on previous VDO threads ive seen...

Help please peeps

on adifferent note, i like your surround for your gauges.
Did you make that yourself? might do the same but with electric window switches
