Title: Losing power
Post by: Shep1980 on 26 May 2011, 20:49
Hi there recently bought 1.8t gti mk4 and starting to have problems with lack of power intermittently, had diagnostics check but only showing barometric sensor fault,it feels very sluggish when it kicks in and almost as if there is a lack of fuel or air going into engine also been backfiring, exhaust is blowing lots when running bad but then all of a sudden it seems to just kick back into normal running,if anybody has any ideas plz cos I'm a vw virgin

Ha ha cheers buddy,it's really annoying now cos driving fine then just starts to chug n blow as if not enough fuel going through system then kicks back in like a spurt of fuel gone into it,I'm in hull so when I get chance I'll try, what's your address of garage
