Title: help!!! engine wont turnover

hi ive fitted a corrado 9a engine into my golf,had the loom converted to run in my golf.fitted loom today got all lights on dash everything working just engine wont turn over?can any tell me why im not getting power to the starter motor?thanks

Probably the starter is dead can it be turned by hand

It may be the little 12v lead to the starter motor solenoid
