Have they de-handled any cars before??
Follow the advice post by Tech. And as Wazzzer says there is only a cable going from the outside handle to the latch that needs removing
Alternatively, buy a 3 door
-
The hardest part is getting it look right after welding the plate in.

haha, i have kids lol, the problem i have is that they have been told that removing the plate can cause problems when you come to put it back together, if this isnt the case then i may just go and have go at it myself, after everything else that im forking out for i just dont want to have to replace the door, lol

at least this is the only thing that he doesnt have to worry about as hes very good at what he does (thankfully)

If you've got kids then surely removing the handles is just silly :undecided:
You're making work for yourself

I am just thinking the same. seems a daft idea if you need to use the rear doors a lot.

Removing the plate? What to put it back to standard later on?
Thought you just welded a plate on over handle hole, removed cable and smoothed over and painted?
Why would you want to remove the plate?

to solve the opening of the rear doors problem, you could always get solenoids for the back door locks and link them upto a car alarm remote equipped with an aux output,so when you need the doors open, pop the button on the remote and roberts ya mothers brother!

i love the look of a car de-handled, i had it done to another car of mine a few years back, never caused me any problems then when i wanted to put the cars in there
dave - the plate behind the door cards, ive been told that i need to take this off, so i can do this, its more confusing than anything else
well sideskirts and bodykit is now on, cant wait for it to be finished lol
