Title: Help with Clifford Alarm!!
Post by: zoem88 on 25 May 2011, 16:18
Hi I need help with my clifford alarm, my proximity sensor is so sensitive it goes off with the slightest gust of wind etc and has caused me to be woken up by the police and asked to turn it off and to get loads of filthy looks off my neighbours causing me to give up using it and just using the VW central locking and alarm as my immobilisor turns itself on after 30 seconds or something anyway.

I have been trying to find a guide on how to turn it down but I don't know the model of the alarm as I bought it already on my golf and was just given a spare fob and no paper work for it  :undecided:

It's got a blue flashing light next to my ignition, automatically does the windows and sunroof up and has got the carbon fibre effect fob with 5 buttons if anyone knows which one that would make it from that??

Any help would be much appreciated as I'd rather have my proximity beep to stop people snooping in the windows instead of an alarm that will only go off once one of them is smashed

The model number should be written on the actual alarm siren or failing that have a look under the dashboard for a control box which should also have the model written on it.

I wouldn't be embarrassed about the alarm going off, pretty sure it happens all the time in Liverpool! In fact i'd bet money on a local chav being able to disable your alarm in a matter of seconds if you offer them a packet of fags and a bottle of white lightning
