No side indicators is or should be a mot issue, they have to be fitted from 1991 onwards.

I sprayed it black about 3an half yrs ago but had little accident just before Christmas couldn't be bothered doing all the prep to respray black and was bored of polishing it all the time lol I'm rollering the green at mo cause there are a few places need some work doing and i can work on them and then just roller the panel again and i quite like the textured finish think i need a bigger roller for the bonnet though :-)

I rollered my mates red top corsa nato green. Textured is good. We had a tiny roller for the bonnet.

looks great, i rollered the wife's mk3. i found the spongey rollers leave less of a texture and the paint is easier to rub down after. about to do my caddy in the same way.

Looking nice...

Looks so good with side trim removed and filled, filler or fibre glass??
Title: Re: Built on peanuts mk3
Post by: Plattysworld on 29 January 2013, 20:23
I welded steel plates in then used filler to level everything out afterwards there is a 2mm step between the upper and lower of the trim it took many many hours of layering and sanding to get the shape just right then I bought the black paint so had to have it perfect before I sprayed it.  but now its green I don't even have to polish it anymore lol

well not much to tell due to bad health and more back surgery I haven't managed to do anything other than routine maintenance to keep it on the road. it sat for few months whilst I recovered then when I finally was able to take it out for a drive I managed to go put some fuel in and made it a couple of miles before my tank strap snapped I wasn't amused lol. so some new straps and an mot later, i'm back on the road again  during the summer I managed to aquire a standard tailgate and rear bumper they need painting up before I can fit them I just fancied a change
