Problem is most the people that drive around with no insurance also have no tax either so nowt will get done. Was watching Road Wars the other night and they pulled a guy with no tax. When asked why he didn't have tax he went on the explain what a load of bollocks it all is and how the roads are in such a crap condition he doesn't think he should be paying road tax, at least he was honest :D

Usually crap happened, his piece of crap car thats not worth more than £50 will be taken and crushed, he'll be back on the road within a few days with another car that wont be taxed or insured

This annoys me, now we cant buy and sell cars without insurance where previously I could store taxed cars at my mum and dads and insure myself at a days notice.

Also on your current car you cant say, well my insurance is up in a week then im going away for two weeks so I may as well leave it on my drive taxed for a month as I wont be driving her.

i am currently trying to sell my old sdi inca after getting my tdi caddy its mot'd and taxed but it isnt insured so this new law will f**k me up as i would have to sorn it and then if someone buys it they will have to tax it

It will f**k loads of people up. I bet half of private sellers wont have the car they are selling insured as it wont be used and just sat on the drive so with every car you buy you have to f**k about taxing it which means you need to wait for your insurance to come through.
