£500 is about what it is worth

Books at about £800 retail and 200 trade if its clean (thats assuming thats a 1995 model) I guess its 95 or earlier as they didnt do a 1.4CL after that, went to L or SE models. Thats also assuming its the 5 speed.
If its very clean, with those miles you could ask £800, people will pay more as its a 1.4 and every one seems to want the smaller engines at the moment.
If its average £400-600ish but being an early CL, realisticly the L and SE is nicer, with the later engine, unless yours is immaculate! £395 is what i would expect to see for it.

I have put it up for £900 as people always knock it down, It is in immaculate condition (slight damage to rear passenger door) but the engine is sound and the interior has all been replaced whats auto trader like for selling?
-
More importantly what you getting next?
Another Golf we hope!

I can never sell a car on auto trader, but thats me. Ebay and local paper never let me down

+1. Gumtree and the free ads as well cos its worth such a small amount. Pointless spending a fortune to put it on autotrader tbh. Although if it does go on autotrader, it will probably fetch slightly more.

I was gonna say....it really bugs me when people describe a car as 'immaculate' or 'mint', followed by 'apart from......'
