Title: How Many Red Colours Are There?

scanning the classified there seem to be various shades of red?...were there more than one type?

Just non-metallic Tornado Red (Europe probably had more colours).

Non-GTIs could also come in a winey red colour. Similar to Indian Chilli Red on the mk3 in my signature but a bit wine-y-er  :grin:

tornado red !! as seen in pic !! but there are six variants of shades for colour match ,that have been brought out over the years !! some shades are darker,some lighter , some more red !!  :drool:

There is also Flash red.  Lighter and a little more "orangy" Than the Tornado red. :smiley:

My mk3 is flash red and the mk2 is tornado red, imo the tornado red is more orangy :undecided:

OP didn't distinguish specifically for the GTI. :smiley:

ONLY Tornado red in the UK for the MKV GTI :cool:

Germany had four shades of red for the GTI including a metallic one which was luscious :drool:

Don't forget everyone's camera is different some have more mega pixels than others. So you may have the same colour car but having a photo taken by two different cameras would give you two different looking types of red  :wink:
