Title: Lumpy idle

My mk2 8v gti has a lumpy idle. Its got 67k miles. Could it be that it only needs a tune up?

would be worth a try getting it tuned or trying to have ago yaself.

is it always lumpy or when cold or hot etc... mines always lumpy when its really cold but doesnt last long.

check your timing is right. get a strobe gun and check it off the fly. this should be done at 2500rpm

yeah, its lumpy at idle, cold or warm. So it's just timing-no worries
