Post by: stainesy on 21 May 2011, 15:52
this has probly been covered on here loads of times so sorry peeps.

i have the gti 2 chamber headlights on my car as standerd but i prefer the look of the old single chamber headlights.
can i just swap them over for the single chamber ones or do they have diferant plugs?

Plugs may be the same, some are square some are round it depends on the year of the car. You can usually tell by the shape of your side repeaters.

Best bet is to check the shape of your plug and make sure you buy a set of single chamber lights with the same shape plug, no need to mess around getting different plugs if there is no need.

As Dom said, you can get both types of plugs on single chamber headlamps.

That's a much better way of saying what I was trying to say

When i changed from the single chamber to the gti dual's, i just swapped straight over using same power connector.

Hope this helps
