Hi people. Found this next to the expansion bottle and don't know what it is and also does it look right with the pipe bits sticking out. Ta

Thats your fuel pipes isn't it? And there appears to be a pipe missing...
-
Yeah that's the one I managed to get off. The other two won't budge. Are the pipes meant to be sticking out of the black plastic thingy
-
Why have you removed it?
Mine stick out a bit too. Not sure if they are meant too!
-
I didn't think they were looking right so I was trying to get them off to take the plastic cover of to see if there was a problem. It's back on now
-
I believe the box is there purely to locate the pipes. I noticed a while ago on ours they appear to stick out a little too......
-
Cool. I will stop worrying about that then. It's was just that the White pipe goes off to another black plastic box that was ticking when my revs were hunting on idle so i was trying to work out if there was a problem somewhere

The ticking is the charcoal canister pump that captures the fuel fumes.
What's the craic with the idle issue? Tell us more.....

I disonnected my battery to do some work and obviously it reset my ecu. Since I connected it back up the revs hunt when I pull up at lights etc. It seems it may be an exhaust blowing issue but as yet I haven't found a blow on the exhaust
-
You sure you haven't disconnected one or more sensors by mistake such as the MAFS? Possibly the Cam Position Sensor.. Recetting an ECU will not cause this.
-
I will have a check in a minute. But I am fairly sure I haven't. I only disconnected the battery and nothing else. Only just got the car and still unsure as to where everything is

Stop randomly unplugging stuff!

It was only one thing and I plugged it straight back in. Hee hee. I like unplugging stuff
